I am a graduate of Columbia School of Social Work where I focused on health, mental health, and disabilities, specializing in children and families. I am passionate, kindhearted, and empathetic to the daily struggles impacting individuals in today’s complex world. I believe in using a strength-based perspective to help clients identify and reach goals while understanding the individual needs and desires of each client. Viewing the individual in the context of their environment allows me to gain a more holistic view of the client and the external stressors impacting their daily lives. I strive to create a non- judgmental, safe and supportive environment, empowering clients to fully utilize the therapeutic space. I integrate a wide range of treatment options including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy Modalities, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. My clinical training includes work with diverse populations of all ages with a variety of struggles and strengths. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, perfectionism, self-concept, adjustment, trauma and abuse. While completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, I began researching the relationship between negative affect and the use of dating applications. In today’s modern world, I noticed the gap in available literature in this area and recognized the importance of this knowledge in our constantly changing environment. This information is vital to understanding the experiences of individual’s as dating applications become more widely used and accepted by society.
